Ever notice when you meet someone, one of the first things they ask is, “so what do you do?” Whether we like it or not, people often define us by what we do, not who we are or how we live our lives.
How I wish everyone could know their value – not just in what we do for a living but simply because of who we are. We are not here by accident, we were created for His glory (Isaiah43:7) not our own. That’s pretty powerful when you think about it. I have learned that you can have all the money in the world or be the most famous person in the world but without God we live beneath that to which we were called.
“What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? “(Matt. 16:26)?
